Melbourne’s iconic Melbourne Cup Carnival is set to kick off this November, and it’s not just about horse racing anymore. This year, the spotlight will also shine on an all-day music festival experience that promises to spice up your Cup Week like never before – Palooza.
Palooza, a brand-new addition to the Melbourne Cup Carnival for 2023, is gearing up to transform Flemington Racecourse into a haven of music and merriment. The festival, taking place across four days from November 4th to November 11th, is poised to be the ultimate Cup Week music extravaganza.

What sets Palooza apart from other music festivals is its unique venue, the Wave55 by Stagekings all-weather dome. This state-of-the-art structure is designed to shield festival-goers from Melbourne’s unpredictable weather, ensuring that the fun continues, rain or shine.
The festival boasts an electrifying lineup that will keep the music flowing from sunrise to sunset. Among the headline acts scheduled to perform are Jax Jones (UK), Topic (GER), Sneaky Sound System, Touch Sensitive, Tonite Only, Groove City, Crooked Colours (DJ Set), Late Nite Tuff Guy, and more. Notably, Melanie C, a former Spice Girl, will take the stage at Palooza with a DJ set. This will be her only Melbourne show before she embarks on a series of intimate gigs across Australia, marking her first-ever solo tour dates in the country.
To get in on the Palooza action, all it takes is an $85 ticket for your chosen day. This pass grants you access to a set list filled with world-renowned DJs and artists, a variety of delectable food from local food trucks, and pop-up bars, along with entry into the public areas of Flemington Racecourse where you can catch all the racing action.
If you’re looking to elevate your Palooza experience, consider the VIP Ticket, available from $445 per day. This exclusive pass allows you to skip the queues, enjoy access to an open bar until 5:30 pm (5 pm on Cup Day), and includes a $50 food credit. VIP ticket holders will also gain entry to the VIP private Pimm’s Garden, offering a luxurious touch to your festival experience. Be quick, though, as VIP Tickets are limited to just 500 per day.
