More good news with the Old Castlemaine Gaol’s ‘Winter Series’ with another couple of wonderful nights taking place in the next fortnight.
This Saturday night, July 9, features Rose Turtle Ertler and Madeline Hudson. Performing what she calls “wonky folk” music on an assortment of instruments including banjo, ukulele and piano, Rose has been playing music all her life.
Madeline is a feisty folk songstress who performs on both guitar and mandolin, with stompin’ dual foot percussion thrown in for good measure. The following Saturday, July 16, welcomes the instrumental Trioc.
The recently formed traditional Irish music outfit made their debut at this year’s National Folk Festival.
