Robertson will officially celebrate the launch of her EP with a show at Queenscliff Brewhouse on Sunday, 26 March.

When you hear her songs, it’s instantly clear the immense power Robertson holds with her voice – both delicate and mighty with each word sung. Her cadence and style stir listeners and provides them with comfort and warmth, something ever-present on her new EP Seasons Volume 1.

Radiating with an inner and outer heat, Seasons Volume 1 arrives this Autumn (and with it, three stunning new songs), marking the first of a series of four EPs to be released over the course of a year, all coinciding with the change of the seasons.
An intimate record of personal growth and transformation, Andrea Robertson’s new EP opens in a lush and lifting haze: gentle acoustics lull us into a trance as Robertson blends honest songwriting with eloquent vocals. She sings, ‘I’m throwing off all my troubles, leaving behind all my cares, focusing on what really matters, and that is why you’re still here’.
The name of the opening track is appropriately named ‘All That Glitters’, the first single released from the EP.
“I really love this song, I wrote it after sitting down and strumming an old 12-string guitar my husband bought for me. It was one of the songs that briefly (but not completely) broke the long, dry spell in my songwriting.”
With a certain warmness that feels like a fresh jacket on a chilly night, ‘More Than Ever’ is the the EP’s second track, channelling Robertson’s knack for creating nostalgic blends of folk, country and soulful-blues-inspired songs.
Over a bluesy acoustic guitar, this dazzling song bares resemblance to a classic alt-country track and Robertson’s sweet voice and signature tones falls over them fittingly. The song finds Robertson singing a poetic tale whilst around her guitars glisten like red and yellow leaves on a tree. Warm, breezy and country-tinged as ever, the near-five-minute song ends with sparse, fading instruments that leave us inspired, exhilarated, and ready for the next adventure.
The EP closes comfortably with the third and final track ‘Seasons’, capturing the crispy, earthy acoustic essence of an autumn song. With a rich vocal tone, Robertson lays down her voice over stripped-back acoustics – it’s simple but utterly perfect in its tender flow.
The echoing reverb of angelic vocals flushes the soundscape with raw emotion and power. The famished texture is fed through the depth of passion and feeling, with Robertson’s intimate reflections and seasonal imagery capturing life’s fragile, breathtaking wonder.
‘Seasons they come, seasons they go, sometimes we notice, sometimes we don’t, but they’re everchanging, it’s just how it goes,‘ Robertson sings, her voice a beacon of philosophical reflection.
‘…But I’m old enough to learn from what’s behind me, and I’m young enough to know how to fill my soul’.
Coated in a golden warmth and promising to light a bright fire within, Seasons Volume 1 sees the award-winning artist mature and develop her sound even further, returning to the fold with a delightful, expansive, and harmony-rich attitude.
“There’s an honesty and openness in the songwriting that perhaps goes deeper than I’ve previously allowed myself to go. Some are quite emotive and have a real rawness and vulnerability about them, but I have intentionally tried to balance this out with some light-hearted tracks as well.”
With her last album released back in 2019, Robertson reveals she has had a number of personal battles in recent years. “Although music continued to be my go-to, there was a long, dry period when it came to songwriting which was quite foreign to me. Some days I honestly thought my songwriting days were over.”
“Thankfully, that wasn’t the case, and here I am, ready to start sharing my new songs with the world again. It’s both exciting and daunting, but I’m ready for it.”
With the Autumn-inspired Seasons Volume 1 now out in the world, Robertson will follow up with three more beautiful EPs coinciding with winter, spring and summer over the next 12 months, culminating in a brand new album to be released digitally and on CD, making it album #4 in Andrea’s catalogue.
The EPs will only be available digitally but the end result will be a complete album which will also be available as a physical copy.
“I felt as though this release strategy was a good approach as I tried to regain some of the lost momentum following the impacts of covid,” Robertson explains, “and help me to reconnect with my audience and (hopefully) maintain a steady flow of creativity rather than the disjointed stop-start life we’ve been dealing with for so long.”

Gifting us the first real taste of new solo material since the release of her endlessly relatable 2021 single ‘Timely Reminder’, Robertson will celebrate Seasons Volume 1 with a launch show on Sunday 26 March from 3-5pm at the Queenscliff Brewhouse in the open-air Beer Garden, and what a celebration this will be.
Robertson will be joined by special guest Wayne Jury.
