An avalanche of talent is heading to South Gippsland this New Year for NYE On The Hill.
Annual end of year festival, NYE On The Hill has today dropped its lineup for the 2024/25 edition and it’s HUGE!
Returning to South Gippsland this Monday 30 December through to Wednesday 1 January, NYE On The Hill says goodbye to the year that was and hello to the year that will be with Brisbane-beloved songwriting talent Mallrat, Windang duo Hockey Dad, Sunshine Coast cruisers The Dreggs, and punks that are Pretty Good For a Girl Band, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers amongst a pool of playing talent.

With tickets already running out the door for the The Hills Are Alive Group & triple j presented festival, the lineup sweetens the deal and the undeniable headline is just the summit. Mallrat has become a fast favourite on the Australian music front with tracks ‘Uninvited’, ‘Better’ and ‘Groceries’ igniting the love-affair. When ‘Charlie’ dropped and shot into the top three of triple j’s Hottest 100, the listener love continued outside of Australia. After 3 EP’s and the latest track ‘Rockstar’, Mallrat’s status has only grown.
In similar seats in the Australian industry, Hockey Dad have also benefitted from titles in triple j’s Hottest 100, with their 2023 track ‘Still Have Room’ making its way to #45 in the countdown – their eighth entry in annual tally event. The duo have played some of Australia’s biggest stages, waving the flag for surf rock into the next generation.
These two will be leading a charge of the aforementioned The Dreggs and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, along with Jack Botts, Rum Jungle, South Summit, Surf Trash, Go-Jo, Great Gable, Ninajirachi, Jem Cassar-Daley, Elsy Wameyo, The Belair Lip Bombs, Gold Fang, Playlunch, Blake Pavey (comedy), Dada Jones, Estee Louder, Fool Nelson, Holly Hebe, Ishan, Ixaras, Kitschen Boy, Mikey D, The Dropkicks, The Stamps, The Vovos, Vann Amos, Vinnie Brigante, Hill’s DJs, the Triple J Unearthed Winner, and a special performance from Millowl Dreaming.
With NYE On The Hill being only 3000 capacity, the talent across bands, artists, DJ’s, and comedians is giant, not to mention the on-site activations and activities on offer. From art installations to morning yoga and food trucks galore, NYE On The Hill is bound to be brilliant.
