CEO and Event Promoter Lyndelle Flintoft is excited about Nightjar Festival’s grand return, stating, “We’re back to make Torquay come alive! Nightjar Festival is not just about music; it’s a fusion of good food, talented stallholders, and a community vibe.”
‘The Series’ spans two weeks, taking place on Thursdays and Fridays, from January 4 to January 12. The festival’s core focus has always been on good food, showcasing local talent, and quality stallholders, but this year, Nightjar is amping up the experience.
In addition to the music, the festival grounds will be alive with roving performers, free face painting, welcome to country ceremonies, and a free silent disco. The event aims to provide a diverse range of activities for everyone who walks through the gates.
Nightjar Festival – The Series introduces pre-event ticketing for a smoother entry process, and ticket holders can enjoy an express lane. Exciting prizes are up for grabs, enhancing the overall festival experience.
The festival area includes two boutique licensed zones supporting Great Ocean Road Gin, Flowstate Brewers & Distillers, and Blackman’s Brewery. Despite the calls for full licensing, organisers have struck a balance by creating specific drinking zones, ensuring the event remains inclusive for everyone.
Beyond the music, Nightjar Festival – The Series boasts attractions like Surf Coast Design Exchange Markets and One Last Night, a fully licensed, small-capacity music event focusing on musical excellence.
Tonight’s lineup, featuring The Vasco Era and Harry James Angus, is just the beginning of a series of nights filled with music, entertainment, and community celebration. The festival promises an unmissable experience for Torquay and the wider Geelong community.
