Known for her haunting vocals, evocative storytelling and deeply emotional music, Geelong-based folk singer-songrwiter Daisy Kilbourne is debuting her newly formed backing band this month at one of Geelong’s most unique venues.
Inspired by the 1970s Laurel Canyon era, with Joni Mitchell as her icon, Daisy’s music explores themes of love, loss, resilience, and self-discovery.

Whether performing solo or with her new backing band, The Chains, Daisy captivates audiences with her intimate and deeply personal performances – we just know you’re going to love her new track.
Daisy’s upcoming single, Come Around, marks the beginning of a new chapter in her music. The track explores themes of resilience and healing, reflecting on the universal truth that we are ultimately left with ourselves—and the importance of finding strength in solitude.
With introspective lyrics and a backing arrangement produced by Marty Brown, the track features cello by Cameron McKenzie and represents the fuller, richer sound Daisy is embracing with her band.
Daisy’s newly formed band adds a dynamic depth to her music while staying true to her folk roots.
The members originally connected while performing at the Beatles Tribute Fundraiser for MND and, after discovering their shared chemistry and love for storytelling through music, they joined forces to collaborate with Daisy. The rockstars joining Daisy are Marcus Vincent on guitar, Dylan Callanan on bass guitar and Daniel Hall on drums.
Another local songbird, Emelia Fol, will delight audiences with her support set on the day.
