The time has come beer lovers – lather up in suncreen, round up the crew and prepare your taste buds. The Ballarat Beer Festival is finally here and it is looking to be a treat with the release of more than 20 new beers from a range of breweries.

Here’s a peak at some of the newies to taste tomorrow.

Odyssey Craft Brewing Co have announced that their Apocalypso Double IPA will make it in time for the festival! According to their Facebook Page: ‘It is tasting absolutely delicious at 8.5%. You better buckle up as you’re about to be thrust into an apocalyptic odyssey of hop sensations… ‘

Rover Beer is the whole new brand line of session beers from Hawkers Beer to be launched this weekend. Packaged in old school stubbies, so far it looks like we will get to taste a Session Ale and a Session IPA.

Stockade Brew Co have promised to be bringing along one limited edition beer with three of their core beers, while Athletic Club Brewery will be releasing their new beer Ballarat Betty Bitter.

Meanline, The Mallow Hotel will be offering grown-up slushies, with Gin & Tonic or Aperol Spritz flavours to choose from.

There will also be limited releases from Coopers, Bells Beach Brewing, Blackman’s Brewery, Blizzard Brewing Company, Bridge Road Brewers Beechworth, Flying Brick Cider Co, Fury & Son Brewing Company, Grand Ridge Brewery, Hawthorn Brewing Co, Pirate Life Brewing, Pact Beer Co among others.

With all these new beers, it seems The Ballarat Beer Festival is the best way to spend a Saturday this summer.
