Presented by Friendly Rushbrook, powered and supported by Forte Magazine.
Forte Magazine has joined forces with local Geelong lads Nick Rushbrook and Olly Friend to bring you ‘Nature Sessions’. Each episode will display one original song by a local musician who will be performing in natural surrounds somewhere in the Geelong region. Rushbrook and Friend wanted to bring their love of all things music and film together in creating something unique that will showcase some of Geelong’s hidden artists and beautiful scenery.
Forte has come on board with Friendly Rushbrook to create ten episodes to be released fortnightly. The concept of Nature Sessions is to show off some of the area’s best musicians in a natural environment and capture the authentic sound they create with only their voice and instruments. By recording the artist in a natural environment, the sound captured will be different to that of being in a studio, giving a more natural, raw sound.
In this latest episode of Nature Sessions Sam Burtt, lead singer of local Geelong band Residual, belts out an acoustic version of their latest single ‘Numbered’. Fresh from a tour promoting said single across the east coast of Australia, Burtt’s vocals takes over the usually quiet lonely path while tall trees provide a majestic green backdrop.
