Murdena Announce New Single and Geelong Launch Show

They may be Melbourne based these days, but Murdena’s heart is still in Geelong.

Comprised of siblings Hugh and Annie Rose Maloney, along with mates Ivan Blacket, Daniel Mckoy and Mitch Rice, the band is set to return to their hometown in support of new single ‘Loraine’, the second track lifted from their forthcoming debut album.

According to the word on the street, the single takes on an atmosphere of “wholesome earthiness” thanks to the recording studio’s location in the dense forests of Paradise, Tasmania. It is the follow up single to ‘Black Coloured Tears’. The album, meanwhile, is titled Freeway, but I don’t have a release date for you. Sorry about that.

Workers Club, Geelong – August 6.
