Missing your weekly dose of Luke Biscan on the mic? You can see him perform live this Friday

Teaming up with the Geelong Arts Centre for a livestream performance.

Luke Biscan. In Geelong and surrounds, it’s a name well-known to anyone who loves live music – and for good reason.

A regular on the touring and festival circuit in coastal Victoria, the UK born singer-songwriter has a voice that easily spans genres of alternative, acoustic rock, folk and soft rock, and his incredible live energy and virtuoso guitar skills have built him a solid hometown fanbase (us included). Forever evolving and reshaping, Luke released his long-awaited debut album, Revivalist, back in 2018 which delved into his childhood, religion, faith, hope and belief, highlighting his masterful storytelling ability.

While we haven’t been able to head to Beavs Bar for Luke’s weekly gigs in the last six months, the much-loved Geelong muso’s star status has been steadily on the rise, having recently released his latest single ‘Nothing To Do With Us’ and auditioning for Australian singing competition, The Voice. Filling the hole left in our hearts from the lack of gigs, Luke joined Team Guy and made it all the way through to ‘The Battles’ stage of the competition, where coaches put two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of the studio audience.

Now he’s back and ready to get behind the mic once more, taking to the Geelong Arts Centre stage this Friday September 25 as part of their #WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome initiative which was launched earlier this year and has already featured a host of livestream takeovers by local folk singer/songwriter Hassall, award-winning comedian/songwriter Jude Perl, cabaret star, Michaela Burger, local musician Taylor Henderson, comedy trio Tripod, and even Aussie music legend Ella Hooper, among many others.

Joined by long time collaborator Isaac Barter, the two muso’s will put on a night of music, story telling and mirth as they perform a selection of covers and originals live from the Geelong Arts Centre.

To get involved, simply tune in at 8pm this Friday night to the Arts Centre’s live-stream via Facebook or directly on the Geelong Arts Centre website, then sit back and enjoy! We’ll also be streaming the live stream through our own Facebook so pour yourself a vino and tuck in.

Audiences are encouraged to share their at-home concert experiences by tagging @GeelongArtsCentre and using the hashtag #WhereCreativityMeetsAtHome.
