Touring his show ’50 Years of Blues’, the prolific bluesman is set to swing by the Piping Hot Chicken Shop on October 7.
He explains the reason behind the tour here: “It is a story that needs to be told and there are not many old enough to tell it … It is about my experiences. True blues is your experience, but it’s useless me singing about cotton fields as I have never seen one! The blues hasn’t stopped evolving and it hasn’t evolved in isolation. For it to work, it has to be what you are feeling and thinking now. Apart from that, it is just a fun little story really.”
