Manuko's opening celebrations will run 4pm - 6pm on Wednesday 14 June with free dark hot chocolate and treats.

For more than 15 years now, Manuko founder Matthew Hardie with partner and business manager Inga Muribo have been paving the way for raw, delicious treats across Victoria.

Driven by the mission to make the most extraordinary products that create moments of pure joy for people, whilst fostering a healthier life and a more sustainable world, the idea of Manuko was spawned back in 2007, when Hardie and Muribo were inspired to make genuinely healthy and delicious organic food available and accessible to everyone.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news across the region here.

In 2012, the first bag of cacao powder was sold out of their one-bedroom apartment, and by 2015, the couple were at their first farmers market in Torquay, selling their treats. Providing sanctuary for the sweet-toothed, the couple quit their full-time jobs and took Manuko to incredible new heights, moving from a home kitchen to the spare bedroom, to a commercial kitchen, to a contract manufacturer, to a shared kitchen, and to their first factory in Thornbury, earning a stellar reputation in the meantime for their indulgent treats, made with certified organic ingredients that are all vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free.

Making premium organic products and raw chocolate treats, Manuko is going from strength to strength, supplying awesome places locally and across Australia. Their slices include Hazelnut Ganache, choc espresso slice, choc mint slice, raspberry cheesecake, choc orange, Turkish delight, salted caramel, lemon and coconut, and peanut butter crunch.

There’s also raw choc truffles, toasted almond caramel cups, choc raspberry ganache cups, dark hot chocolate, dark chilli hot chocolate, deluxe protein bites, peanut butter bites and more.

Now, acceding to the demand for their premium organic products and raw choc treats, Manuko has returned to its roots, opening up a factory outlet in Torquay, transforming their Surf Coast factory space.

Joining the industrial area on Haystacks Drive, the Torquay HQ will be the place to go to find all their products, treats and gift packs are available, and there’s free hot chocolate for all, served with almond milk.

The factory outlet opening will take place on Wednesday, 14 June from 4pm – 6pm with free dark hot chocolate and treats. Of course, here you can expect to find everything organic, plant-based and gluten-free, and most importantly, delicious!

“Manuko has been (and continues to be) a 1,000 mile journey, building something awesome and magical step by step and slice by slice,” the business shared on social media.

“It’s been a very challenging, amazing and rich journey, and it’s a great privilege to share that journey with you! Behind the scenes we have a small and dedicated team, without which none of what we do would be possible. Team work makes the dream work!”

The Manuko Factory Outlet opening hours are Wed and Thurs 1-5pm and Fri 9.30-1.30pm.
