Ombra Launches Three Limited-Edition Pizzas
This World Pizza Day, Guy Grossi is adding three limited-edition pizzas to the already showstopping menu at his CBD restaurant, Ombra.
Made with 48-hour fermented dough and topped with some of the most decadent and playful ingredients, pizza-goers can take their pick between the below – all cooked to perfection in the pizza oven.
- Lobster Pizza – with a decadent lobster bisque base topped with zucchini flowers, Fior di Latte and gremolata ($75)
- Pizza Carbonara – a spin on the traditional pasta with a creamy base topped with crispy pancetta and Parmigiano ($25)
- The Dolce Pizza – topped with peaches, vanilla finocchio, lemon and mascarpone – the taste of Italian summer! ($25)

Da Paolo Pizza Takes Up Residency At Bahama Gold This Summer
Bahama Gold welcomes the return of pizzaiolo Kitisak Iacuzi from cult pizzeria pop-up, Da Paolo, for an in-house residency this summer. Inspired by the sell-out success of Iacuzi’s pop-up last September, his authentic Italian fare will return to match Bahama Gold’s specialist menu of house-made, imported and local wines and vinyl sounds every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 5 PM – 10 PM.
With prices ranging from $18-24 per pizza, the opening menu includes:
- Marinara; yellow passata, confit cherry tomato, oregano and basil
- Margherita; San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, pecorino and basil
- Gamberi; Local prawns with garlic, parsley and fermented chilli sauce
- Zucchini; served with stracchino, a traditional young Ligurian soft cheese, with capers, marjoram and mint sauce

Hailed as Australia’s best pizza chef, Johnny Di Francesco of 400 Gradi is treating pizza lovers to his famous Margherita pizzas for half the price this Friday as a way to celebrate World Pizza Day.
