“We’re so excited to be launching footwear in Australia and finally offering our guests a head-to-toe solution,” stated Paul Tinkler, Vice President lululemon Australia & New Zealand. “With 25 years of insights, expertise and innovation in our DNA, applying this to a new category felt like the natural next step for us.”

Central to lululemon’s footwear debut is its commitment to addressing the unique needs of its customers. By conducting thorough research and incorporating feedback from ambassadors, the brand has developed custom lasts tailored specifically for male and female feet. This meticulous approach ensures an unparalleled fit and comfort, enhancing performance across various activities.

Sun Choe, lululemon’s Chief Product Officer, emphasised the brand’s focus on embodying a “feel-first” philosophy with every product. “With new performance running shoes and our first-ever casual sneakers we can now outfit both men and women in versatile gear from head to toe. Extensive research, wear-testing and ambassador feedback went into each of these designs to ensure a perfect fit, no matter the activity.”

The inaugural footwear line boasts six distinct styles, including casual, running, and training shoes, designed to cater to the dynamic needs of active lifestyles. Notable highlights include the “beyondfeel” running shoe, engineered for superior cushioning and comfort, and the “cityverse” casual sneaker, offering style and support for all-day wear. There will also be the “restfeel” slide for post-workout relaxation.

Exclusively for women, lululemon will launch the “chargefeel” cross-training shoe, ideal for gym workouts and short runs, featuring a dual-density midsole for energy return and an upper that provides midfoot lockdown; and the “strongfeel” shoe, designed to secure movements during explosive exercises like jumping and cutting, with low-profile cushioning and multidirectional traction for stability.

In addition to the launch lineup, lululemon has teased forthcoming innovations, including special material iterations and seasonal colourways, promising ongoing excitement and evolution within the category.

As lululemon takes its first steps into the Australian footwear market, enthusiasts can anticipate a seamless fusion of performance, style, and comfort, echoing the brand’s enduring commitment to empowering individuals through transformative products and experiences.
