This acoustic tour announcement comes hot on the heels of the news that their much-loved festival, ‘Til The Wheels Fall Off’, sold out in under a week. Set to rock Launceston on September 9, the festival’s swan song is poised to be an epic finale, featuring an explosive lineup including Luca Brasi, Press Club, Hope D, Bec Stevens, and more.

And for those who haven’t been keeping score, Luca Brasi recently unveiled their latest track, “Sonny”. This mellower tune offers a departure from the usual pace, showcasing the band’s extraordinary ability to balance restraint and poise. With every string perfectly plucked and every syllable tenderly delivered, “Sonny” thrives in its quiet yet undeniable confidence. Its ebb and flow captivate, creating a sense of anticipation that’s hard to ignore.

For those unfamiliar with Luca Brasi’s journey, this band of comrades emerged from the rugged landscapes of Tasmania’s east coast in 2011. They burst onto the scene with their raucous debut, ‘Extended Family’, capturing hearts and thrusting the audience into a party that was already in full swing. Their evolution continued, with 2021’s ‘Everything Is Tenuous’ revealing a more contemplative, matured perspective on themes like love, growth, and the passage of time.

With ‘The World Don’t Owe You Anything’, their sixth studio album, Luca Brasi pulls out all the stops. The riffs are raw, fast, and bursting with a fervent desire to be heard. The songwriting embarks on a journey of introspection and self-examination, colliding with an urgent, explosive soundscape that echoes their early days. The result is a collection of anthems that beckon fans to raise their fists and revel in the raw energy of the group’s live performances.

Produced in collaboration with Ben Stewart at Pudding’s House of Flavour and Banana Pig Studios, and engineered by the band’s own Pat Marshall, ‘The World Don’t Owe You Anything’ is a testament to the band’s embrace of their roots and their growth. This album forms an electric blend of their history and evolution, creating a sonic force that’s more powerful and vibrant than ever.

‘The World Don’t Owe You Anything’ is out September 29 via Cooking Vinyl Australia. Tickets for the shows are on sale now here
