Situated beachside on the stunning Bellarine Peninsula, the brand new, architecturally designed venue, is a hospitality setting and contemporary ferry terminal unlike anything else in the state.

The redevelopment of the Queenscliff Ferry Terminal has been in the works for more than 10 years, with the Geelong City Deal greatly helping to bring the project to life. The new building design will give ferry passengers a world-class experience including better visitor facilities, improved disability access, safer access for pedestrians, a revitalised café and new boardwalk.

Matt and the team are extremely proud of the reputation Searoad Ferries has established in the tourism and transport sectors and he says around one million people travel the ‘sea road’ crossing Victoria’s Port Phillip Bay 365 days a year.

“Our customers are our inspiration, and we are focused on connecting people and places through excellent experiences. We offer a vibrant workplace where we consistently exceed customer expectations and support the local community.”

Searoad Ferries has operated the Queenscliff-Sorrento Ferry service, linking Victoria’s Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, since 1987. It’s continued investment and commitment to excellence has seen the business grow to become the busiest car and passenger ferry service in Australia.

Ferry services provide 150 jobs and generate $176 million in tourism and visitor activity, supporting a further 850 jobs. The terminal has supported 63 new jobs in the construction phase and an additional 22 new ongoing jobs within the ferry operation.  These new ongoing jobs will bring economic growth to the Borough of Queenscliff and the Bellarine Peninsula.
