Geelong’s home for sustainable dining out will now open on Saturdays. Little Green Corner cafe, which is located Little Ryrie Street, has been spreading the message of thoughtful eating and good quality food since early last year.
The environmentally friendly practice of the cafe seeps into every level of operation, with eggs coming from chooks on the owner’s farm, food scraps from the cafe going back to the chooks and customers being encouraged to pay for coffees with tomatoes – and the list goes on.
Then there’s the food, which rotates through seasonal vegetables and fruits, and is made to the highest level of execution. There may be only a handful of options, but it’s a bi-product of the paddock-to-plate philosophy practiced at the cafe.
Little Green Corner has also been known to host various events (such as yoga classes), so hopefully with the expansion to Saturdays the chances of gaining more increase as well.
Little Green Corner is located at 42 Little Ryrie Street, Geelong and is open Mon-Fri 7am-3.30pm and Sat 8am-3.30pm.
