Hi, thanks for chatting with Forte! Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your music?
We are Horris Green and we are a heavy rock duo from Ballarat. Lachlan Murphy plays guitar and sings and James McDougall plays drums and sings.
Describe your current and second EP, The Dog Line.
The Dog Line is a selection of what felt were the best five songs we had written over the course of a year. There are songs with jazz influences, punk influences, pop influences and basically everything else in between! Our goal was to produce something that everyone can enjoy regardless of their musical taste.
When and how did you form?
We have been a band for just under two years now. We first met at high school, however once attending university together we decided to have a jam and as they say, the rest is history.
If you could share the stage with one other band, who would that be?
If we could share the stage with King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard it would be unreal. They already have so many members, why not add another two people!
About to embark on your The Dog Line tour – anything you’re looking forward to most?
This will be our first ever tour so the whole thing is very exciting to us, however we are really looking forward to playing our first ever interstate show in Sydney, as well as finishing the tour in our home town of Ballarat!
