In 2024, the beloved group embarked on their longest-ever music tour, completing the Hometowns Tour—an epic six-month, 112-show adventure that took them to every corner of Australia, performing in front of over 60,000 fans.

Claptrap takes viewers behind the scenes of this monumental journey, offering a raw and emotional look at the highs and lows of life on the road. The tour not only showcased Kingswood’s new music from their sixth studio album HOME, but it also solidified their reputation as a live performance force to be reckoned with. The gruelling tour schedule pushed the band to their limits, both physically and emotionally, and brought them closer together in ways they hadn’t anticipated.
Directed by Darcy Newton and produced by Luca Catalano, Claptrap isn’t just a chronicle of a rock band on the road—it’s a deeper exploration of the bond between the bandmates and the adrenaline-fueled magic that happens when Kingswood takes the stage. The documentary will premiere at the iconic Astor Theatre in Melbourne on Friday 4 April, before heading on to select screenings along the East Coast throughout April.
