Karl S. Williams Locks in Geelong Show

The blues found Karl S. Williams while living in the small NSW town of Woodburn.

The songman released his debut album, Heartwood, independently in 2013 which earned him comparisons to Jack White. The following year, he released a re-imagined deluxe version of the album.

At the time he had this to say about the release to theMusic.com.au: “I liked the analogy of the heartwood of the tree, the strong sturdy bones of the tree, and it had to have the word ‘heart’ in it, because that’s a symbol I like using a lot in my music.”

In 2015, he picked up the gong for ‘Artist of the Year’ at the Gold Coast Music Awards. ‘O Death’ is his new single, and takes him to The Barwon Club, Geelong on August 6.
