Judo Chop! and All Hope Remains bring a Skate Punk Shred Fest to Geelong this week

Joining will be In The Esky, Once Were Lost and Kye Keating.

Fresh from their first ever Western Australia tour, Geelong skate punk band All Hope Remains and Melbourne’s freshest melodic punk-rock six-piece Judo Chop! have joined forces to put on an epic celebration of classic skate punk rock.

Skate Punk Shred Fest will be taking place at the Barwon Club Hotel in Geelong on Friday, November 25 2022.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Kicking off at 8pm, the mini fest will see Kye Keating, Once Were Lost and In The Esky all take to the stage alongside headlining acts All Hope Remains and Judo Chop!

Formed in late 2018, All Hope Remains was spawned from a collection of Music/Beer loving mates who met through the music scene while playing in previous bands and who all just couldn’t get enough Strung Out, Alkaline Trio and Raised Fist.

Comprising Geelong locals Gilly (bass/vocals), Tones (drums/vocals) and Burlo (guitar/vocals), All Hope Remains have landed on a unique brand of entertainment fusing fast melodic punk with clean emotional vocals, catchy guitar riffs and stentorian drums. Since their beginnings, All Hope Remains have released a stack of EPs and toured extensively across Australia and Japan in the last few years, opening for scene icons Zebrahead, Death by Stereo and Shames. Most recently the band released their debut album, A Silent War.

Hailed from Melbourne, Judo Chop! are the six-piece melodic punk band carving out a solid reputation for themselves over the past few years. Like a crushing death blow of guitars and drums, delivered with inimitable cutting vocals, Judo Chop! will have your punk rock tendencies fighting in a headlock of air, as they deliver blow after blow of precision three part harmonised guitar riffs at blistering speed! With raw, authentic Australian vocals out front, Murray McDonald delivers a sound and song unique to he alone, giving Judo Chop! a truly original sound all their own.

Judo CHOP! released their debut EP ‘Shelf Life’ in July 2021 and are soon to hit the studio to record their follow up album.

With two of Victoria’s best skate punk bands heading up the event, punters are in for a mindblowing night of shred punk within the confines of the BC band room.

Skate Punk Shred Fest takes place at the Barwon Club Hotel on Friday, November 25. $10 tickets on the door.
