In an Australian exclusive, Australian rock royalty will meet orchestral excellence in a special one-off performance this November
You can hear it now, Jet’s stunning hits ‘Look What You’ve Done’ and ‘Shine On’ backed and elevated by a symphony orchestra – and one of the best in the world at that. In what is set to be a spectacular marriage of music, ARIA Hall of Famers Jet and the acclaimed Melbourne Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Nicholas Buc join forces for a one-night-only, Australian-exclusive performance at the glorious Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
Taking place on Friday 8 November, Jet will make their first foray into the world of symphony orchestras to perform a string of classic singles and timeless tracks arranged for orchestra by Buc.

The incredible set list includes rock anthems ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’ and ‘Cold Hard Bitch’, which both peaked at number 1 on the US Modern Rock singles charts, along with ‘Look What You’ve Done’, ‘Rollover DJ’ and ‘Get Me Outta Here’ – songs hold up as bonafide belters 20 years on.
After forming in 2001, Jet had a fast trajectory on the global stage, selling more than 6.5 million albums globally and securing almost 10 x Platinum certification in Australia and Platinum in the USA and UK for their 2003 debut album Get Born.
The band’s 2006 follow up album Shine On was stacked with a collection of melodic rockers and achieved Platinum status in Australia on the back of stand-out headline shows around the world, and an unforgettable Big Day Out run in 2007.
In 2023 the band was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame and reunited for a sold-out Australian tour celebrating 20 Years of Get Born, with Get Born: 20th Anniversary Extended Edition playing sold-out shows across cities and regional centres this May and June. The band will tour the US and UK in late 2024.
In anticipation of the collaboration with the MSO Nic Cester says, ‘We are all very excited to work with the MSO to add another musical dimension to our catalogue. The opportunity to elevate the live experience was one we just couldn’t pass up. It’s a complete one off and we’re definitely going to rock the Bowl like never before!”
