If Quentin Tarantino ever directed a feminist spaghetti western, ‘Viper’ by Emilia Fol would be the track blasting over the final, slow-mo showdown.
‘Viper’ is the dramatic, soul-stirring arrival of rising Geelong artist Emilia Fol, and it’s making waves for all the right reasons.
Mixing Spanish folk, flamenco flair, psychedelic rock, and raw, unapologetic soul, this track isn’t just a song—it’s a full-blown experience. Hypnotic, dangerous, and dripping in theatrical tension, it’s the sonic equivalent of a femme fatale lighting a cigarette over a burning past.

“The lyrics were influenced by times when I found my power after feeling trapped,” Fol shares.
Written six years ago and now brought to life in the studio with producer Joelistics, ‘Viper’ is all about rising from the ashes and stepping into your power—especially if you’ve ever felt silenced, underestimated, or boxed in. It builds like a storm, with flamenco guitars, haunting rhythms, and a serpentine vocal that slinks, strikes, and mesmerises. It’s soft and spellbinding one second, sharp and unrelenting the next—basically, drama in all the right ways.
And Fol? She’s not just any newcomer. Born deaf in one ear and raised between the laid-back beauty of Geelong and the fiery tradition of her Spanish roots, she’s had to experience sound differently—from the inside out. Rhythm, movement, and pure emotion drive her sound, and it shows. Her music doesn’t just play, it conjures.
Accompanying the single is a short film that dives into Emilia’s personal story—living with a hearing impairment, growing up with flamenco in her blood, and learning to feel music as much as hear it. It’s intimate, powerful, and layered, just like the track itself.
And heads up: Emilia’s already planning a music video that promises to bring even more of that sultry, cinematic drama to the screen. If ‘Viper’ is any clue of what’s to come, this is just the beginning of something seriously special.
Listen to ‘Viper’ now—headphones on, volume up, and prepare for a little goosebump action.
