In its seventh year, Geelong’s Jerkfest has unveiled a lineup jam-packed with local acts, putting a massive spotlight on talent stemming from Geelong and surrounding areas and injecting life back into the local live music scene.

For the uninitiated, Jerkfest is a local one-day festival held at the Barwon Club celebrating all things punk, shoegaze and psych. Each year the festival features a stacked line-up of local bands, curated by Anti Fade Records founder and event organiser Billy Gardner.
Hailed as one of the best days of the year by many, the Jerkfest family were devastated when they has to cancel last year’s edition just days before it was scheduled to go ahead, due to the beginning on the coronavirus pandemic in Australia.
Returning for Jerkfest 6.5, Gardner has crafted an immaculate lineup of underground punk and alternative acts, including many of who were originally billed for last year’s event. We’ll be seeing the likes of Melbourne Afrobeat quintet and self-proclaimed “rogue operators” Bananagun, all-female four-piece Parsnip, Geelong-based garage rockers Vintage Crop, and Spiritual Mafia which features an assortment of musicians from underground hitters such as Cuntz, Exek, Ausmuteants and Spray Paint – plus heaps more.
