Australia’s best and most unique winter beer festival - Bendigo on the Hop - is returning to the thriving Bendigo region this month for another year of delicious beers, great food, fabulous music and good times!
Bendigo On The Hop, Australia’s best winter craft beer festival, will once again pair some of the finest venues in town and Australia’s best breweries this month when it returns to the region on Saturday, August 27. Craft beer lovers get to meet and talk to the brewers, be entertained by talented musicians and meet people who are as passionate about craft beer as you walk from venue to venue in beautiful Bendigo.
Pairing some of Bendigo’s finest beer venues with Australia’s best independent breweries, the event is run by the not-for-profit Bendigo Beer and was created to help foster the craft beer culture in the local with all profits made from the festival going straight back into supporting the local beer industry.

Celebrating Bendigo’s heritage, its amazing beer venues, and Bendigo Beer’s commitment to establishing Bendigo as the craft beer capital of regional Australia, indie brewers from all over the country will be coming to regional Victoria to showcase their beers to enthusiasts at the annual festival organised by Bendigo Beer.
Kicking off from 11am through until 6pm, Bendigo on the Hop attendees can meet and talk to brewers, experience unique beers brewed just for this event, and be entertained by live music – all whilst taking a leisurely stroll from venue to venue in beautiful, historic Bendigo.
In order to attend Bendigo on the Hop, patrons must purchase a ticket associated with a particular Bendigo venue. Waiting at that location will be sample tokens, a souvenir glass and a wristband – signifying the start of the attendee’s Bendigo on the Hop experience. Once attendees have collected their packs, they are able to proceed to any venue at their leisure. With two beers available from each brewery – one from their core range, the other a rare beer – attendees will be able to choose between which of the two beers they would like to try with their sample token. If the sample isn’t enough, attendees are welcome to purchase a full pour in their souvenir glass or taste the other beer on offer.

In the last three years, the number of craft beer venues in central Victoria has grown from a handful to over fifty, in part due to the hard work and dedication from the team at Bendigo Beer.
