Punchbuzz is the latest album from Husky, and according to the band it edges away from folk and heads for an indie-rock feel. The newie, also the band’s third, was plotted while the band was living in Berlin, using it as a base for international touring commitments.
With the album released back in May last year, they’re now celebrating the release of single ‘Walking In Your Sleep’, with a string of intimate shows at iconic rock venues around the country.
With their first single off Punchbuzz, ‘Late Night Store’, clocking up over 4 million streams on Spotify, the ARIA-nominated band and winners of the 2014 Vanda and Young Songwriting competition spent much of 2017 touring globally. Their extensive run of tour dates included a sold-out Corner Hotel show in Melbourne, along with sold-out performances in the Netherlands, London and Germany.
The band recently returned to Australia to play a string of Summer festivals and will follow up with local fans in April as they take their magical indie-rock around the country, before heading back to Europe for a Summer festival run in July.
