Buffets have come a very long way since our days with Poseidon, his trident and Salty the Seal, where we’d indulge ourselves in the all you can eat smorgasbord party that was Smorgys (RIP).
To truly embrace the winter carb-loading, the good humans over at Mamma’s Boy Trattoria in Melbourne have gifted us the event of all bottomless events: bottomless gnocchi and free-flowing cocktails.

Challenging gnocchi-lovers for $59 per person, customers can indulge in a two-hour all-you-can-eat feast on Sundays and Thursday nights with a choice of any (or all) of three sauces on offer – slow cooked lamb ragu, Napoli or truffle mushroom and spinach.
Alongside the endless bowls of the soft, handmade potato, the free-flowing cocktails on offer include a rotating spritz menu, espresso martinis and mojitos.
Oh, and there’s garlic bread!
An annual event for the Brunswick restaurant, the event was originally slated for April but has been extended until early August due to popular demand (unsurprisingly). Running until August, sessions are available every Sunday at 12pm, 2:30pm, 5:30pm and 8pm, and Thursday at 5:30pm or 8pm.
Bookings must be made in advance online here, and everyone at the table needs to sign up to redeem the offer – so only invite your gnocchi loving pals.
