Ah Disney. Whether it’s the songs, the stories, the characters, or animations that you loved most, sitting in front of the television watching your favourite childhood characters come to life over and over was – and still is – a magical part of life, the circle of life if you will.
These are the movies you know off by heart, but will still happily watch over and over again and now Disney’s magical collection of flicks is heading to one of our favourite night-time venues in the regional city of Geelong.
Oh yes. Sweet Cheeks Cocktail & Dessert Lounge have announced an epic weekly movie night.

Taking place every Thursday night in the upstairs area of the venue, the movie night is dedicated entirely to Disney movies, with a program that we would imagine includes fan favourites and a few new releases. The lounge kicked off the movie nights with a screening of the classic The Princess Diaries. Perhaps we’ll also see Christmas classics in the lead-up to the holiday season?
The movie itself is free to view, screening from 7pm, and there will also be a pretty sweet $20 cocktail and dessert special.
With a menu brilliantly dedicated to mouth-watering pancakes, delicious desserts and truly epic cocktails, a striking interior that gives you the feeling you’ve stepped into a pink-tinged city-oasis, and operating late at night for those late-night sweet cravings, Sweet Cheeks has all the ingredients for the ultimate movie night out.
Now that’s date night sorted.
If Thursday nights don’t suit, the venue continues to pop across the weekend with Happy hour specials on Fridays (hello $10 cocktails), beers and beats on Saturday nights and an epic rooftop session on Sundays. Plus, a bottomless cocktail package if you’re keen to elevate those Sundays.
