Geelong laneway bar Medusa is hosting its first-ever vinyl market this weekend

Featuring stalls from Bad Neighbour Records, Prehistoric Sounds, Popcultcha and Waynes World of Music.

The art of crate digging is alive and well, and one of our favourite new spots is here to prove it: Medusa Bar is hosting its very first vinyl market.

Brought to you by the familiar faces behind Valhalla Brewing & Taproom, Medusa is one of Geelong’s best-kept secrets thanks to its DJs spinning vinyl, movie nights and some seriously unreal happy hour specials.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here

Taking place in the hidden venue, located down the historic Rock O’Cashel Lane, behind the heritage-listed façade of a three-storey building, the bar will turn into a record-lovers paradise on Sunday, December 18.

Kicking off from 2pm, the vinyl market will feature stalls from local legends in Bad Neighbour Records, Prehistoric Sounds, Popcultcha and Waynes World of Music. With literally thousands of records, Medusa is a must-visit for collectors searching for that rare find or DJs after a fresh haul for their Friday night set.

Alongside the endless vinyl on offer, there will also be DJs on the decks and local bevs to hydrate keen shoppers.

Whether you’re looking for something new to fill that small space in between Joy Division and Judas Priest, or you’re just an old soul, searching for music you can actually hold in your hand, this free event is one not to be missed.

It all goes down on Sunday, December 18 from 2-6pm at Medusa, 2 Rock O’Cashel Lane, Geelong.
