Geelong girl set to showcase her work at the RAW Melbourne exhibition tomorrow night

RAW is a world recognised independent arts organisation who aim to help kick start budding artists’ careers by exposing them to the media, and creating a platform for the artists to be ‘seen, heard and loved’.

This includes galleries and exhibitions compiled often in large cities in various countries for all to see.

RAW prides themselves in handpicking individual artists across the globe, in numerous art forms such as hair and makeup, filmography, fashion design, performance, photography, music and visual art.

Plucked from the crowd this month was Geelong girl, Maisy Kingston, set to showcase her work at the RAW Melbourne exhibition on August 24 at Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington.

Despite being unsure her future pathways after completing VCE at Sacred Heart College, Kingston kept up her passion for art, using each spare moment lost in painting pieces with high-flow acrylics, abstract painting or even wood burning.

Taking the leap to create an Instagram account, Gypsy Ink Creative, to share her creations with the world has truly paid off with her new recognition from RAW as an upcoming artist to watch out for.
