Girl and Girl, the electrifying garage rock quartet, are about to drop their highly anticipated debut album, “Call A Doctor.” Scheduled for release on Friday, May 24, via Virgin Music Australia (AU/NZ) and Sub Pop (rest of world), the band have marked the occasion with the release of their lead single and its accompanying video, “Hello,” giving fans a tantalising glimpse into what’s in store.
Alongside the single, Girl and Girl have announced they will be hitting the road for their Hello Australia Tour, treating fans to a series of headline shows across the East Coast. From Gold Coast to Wollongong, the band will be bringing their electrifying performances to venues near you following their appearance at SXSW in Austin next month.

“Hello” isn’t just another track; it’s a sonic explosion that demands attention. Recorded in a whirlwind two-week session at Sundowner Sound in Melbourne, the album showcases Girl and Girl’s raw energy and infectious enthusiasm. Produced by Burke Reid (known for his work with Courtney Barnett and Julia Jacklin), the record is a testament to the band’s unbridled creativity and passion.
Girl and Girl’s journey began in the humble confines of a garage, where Kai James and guitarist Jayden Williams first began jamming. With Aunty Liss on drums and Fraser Bell on bass completing the lineup, the band quickly made a name for themselves beyond the Australian bush. Their unique sound and electrifying performances caught the attention of Sub Pop, leading to a record deal and international acclaim.
