Your favourite pizza party is about to takeover the Waterfront.
For years now, Justin Lane Establishment has become a hip hangout for those in Burleigh Heads, with its sleek two-story venue, top-notch pizzas and pasta, an extensive cocktail list, a rooftop bar, misting stations and booths with beach views.
Now Burleigh’s much-loved pizzeria has made the trip down South, bringing everything there is to love about the beach-facing Italian hotspot to the Geelong waterfront.
Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here.
Taking over a prime venue on the waterfront, previously occupied by The Greek @ Customs House, Justin Lane Establishment is due to open its doors in Geelong on Saturday, February 26.
While we won’t be getting the rooftop that the Gold Coast locals have, you can bet it will be a perfect coastal edition of the rambling, eclectic space, decked out with white décor, classy neon, high-top tables, twinkle lights, beautiful greenery and of course those ocean glimpses we’re privvy to down on the beautiful waterfront.
As you’d expect from a well-loved pizzeria and pasta bar like this, the food is the crowning glory. The Justin Lane Establishment dishes up masterfully-crafted pasta made fresh in-house, gourmet sourdough-base pizzas, and salads perfect for sharing.

Priding themselves on keeping things simple and focussing on quality of ingredients, some highlights you’ll likely find include Italian fries with goats cheese, ricotta salata and garlic oil; heirloom tomato bruschetta; mushroom arancini; and the Justin Lane antipasto, Italian cured meats, double brie, zucchini relish, baba ganoush, sardella, olives, breads and crackers. And that’s just the starters.
The handmade sourdough pizzas (better for your digestion and delicious), our picks include the prosciutto, garlic, red onion, gorgonzola, buffalo mozzarella, rocket and pear pizza; the chicken, garlic, fior di latte, basil pesto, cherry tomato, and basil pizza; and the mushroom, ricotta, greek yoghurt, truffle paste, provolone and fior di latte pizza. Bellissimo!
Looking at the freshly made pasta, the gnocchi with lamb ragu, herb, and grana padano, and the pappardelle with wagyu bolognese and grana padano have our tick of approval.
There’s also a vibrant dessert menu sprinkled with Italian classics like tiramisu, affogato, gelato and cannoli, and a dedicated kids menu.
As for the drinks, signature cocktails and mocktails, boutique wines, spirits and eight beers on tap, and they do takeaway.
There’s clearly a lot to love and we can’t wait to check it out.
Find Justin Lane Establishment at 57-59 Brougham St, Geelong. Open from Saturday, February 26. Bookings can be made here, walk-ins welcome.
