These picks will get you through a long walk, a short commute or anything in between. All you need to do is press play.

Bless the creation of podcasts. They can turn any dull moment into an enjoyable one – from washing dishes and making the beds, to working from home and driving to the office.

While there a tons of great podcasts to choose from, with topics ranging from true crime and politics to comedy and inspirational stories, it can be hard to find your next best listen. Before you go searching into eternity, here are our five picks for the podcasts that are sure to bring the heat this winter.

New Mum, Who Dis?

Reformed radio host and new mum Ash London has traded the work trips to LA for quick trips to Baby Bunting. She’ll be joined by other notable parents, experts, mates and strangers off the internet on this quest to keep living her best life, while attempting to transform her small blob (aka cute baby) into a happy little human.

Dad Pod

Dad Pod is a podcast that documents the new dad adventures of Charlie Clausen and tv presenter Osher Gunsberg. Both men became dads in their forties and wanted a place to share their learnings of new fatherhood week-by-week. They discuss a range of topics from bringing the baby home for the first time to how to introduce your pet to your baby. New season launches 23 June.

Sit With Us

Married At First Sight’s Ella Ding and Domenica Calarco have launched a new weekly podcast, Sit with Us. The show is distributed, hosted, and monetised by Acast, the world’s largest independent podcast company.

Dom and Ella shot to fan-favourite stardom on Channel Nine’s infamous dating show, Married at First Sight (MAFS). Revealing real stories behind the headlines, Sit With Us will unpack the friends’ life after MAFS, covering everything from dating to daily life.

WILD with Sarah Wilson

Multi-New York Times bestselling author, activist, minimalist and former news journalist Sarah Wilson has brought her hugely popular podcast, Wild with Sarah Wilson, to the Acast Creator Network.

Ranked in the top 200 most influential authors globally, in 2013 Sarah founded the universal I Quit Sugar movement and wrote the international bestsellers I Quit Sugar and First, We Make the Beast Beautiful Her most recent book, This One Wild & Precious Life, won the 2021 US Gold Nautilus Award. Sarah now dedicates all her resources to driving a global conversation on sustainability and climate change.

In her weekly show, Sarah explores the big questions that haunt us, such as; Will we die from climate change? Can our rage save us? and “Is being Australian a mental health crisis?” Sarah riffs with philosophers, creatives, poets, scientists (and at least one nun!) to find the answers.

The Chaser Report

Are you sick of news you can trust? For over 200 years, The Chaser has been the world’s leading source of news you can’t trust.

Now daily in 2022, The Chaser Report is hosted by Charles Firth, Dom Knight and Gabbi Bolt each morning, while Rebecca De Unamuno delivers all the latest Chaser news headlines.

They will be joined by more talented, less available contributors such as Craig Reucassel, Zoe Norton Lodge, Sami Shah, Andrew Hansen, Nina Oyama, and Chris Taylor – plus the newest members of our team – Zander Czerwaniw, John Delmenico, Lachlan Hodson and Aleksa Vulovic.
