Spring sure is a big tease when it comes to the weather, but just because it mightn’t be sunny it doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty on offer in Geelong and regional Vic (as there are!). Here’s our list of a few things to get up to this weekend.

1. Set Your Endorphins Flying This Weekend with Comedy 4 Karma 
Laughter is the best medicine and giving to a good cause is surely close behind that. An event you can do both at is the Comedy 4 Karma event at the Daylesford Town Hall, a fundraiser for the Daylesford Dharma School. Comedy 4 Karma happens tonight and you could be laugh along to the likes of Celia Pacquola, Sammy J & Randy, Tony Martin and MC Tina Del Twist in a matter of hours. There’ll also be musical entertainment from Melody Moon and some tasty snack to pick up as well. Tonight only!

This Saturday and Sunday the Australian Movie and Comic Expo (previously Armageddon) is where your pop culture dreams will come true. This year features Michael Rowe (Arrow), Trevor Devall (Guardians of the Galaxy), Richard Franklin (Doctor Who), Claudia Wells (Back to the Future), Jed Brophy (LOTR, The Hobbit) and many many more. Head to the Melbourne Showgrounds to get your fix.

Geelong’s Mane Event is a musical festival that aims to raise awareness of mental health issues with proceeds going towards Headspace. It’s something we simply don’t talk enough about, and helping start the conversation are; The Badloves, The Mane Event also welcomes The Stiffys, The Heartache State, The Kite Machine, Alister Turrill and the Vagabond Brothers, Famous Will and more. It all happens tomorrow (Saturday) at the one and only Barwon Club, Geelong. 
m24. Eat Stuff, Pat Stuff, Ride Stuff and More at the Royal Geelong Show
Carnival rides, fairy floss, petting zoos, is there anything better? The Royal Geelong Show is a right of passage for Geelong locals and is the biggest four day show in country Victoria. People come from all walks of life; growers of produce and animals, creators of craft, artists, musicians, entertainers and many more come to the show to meet, show and share ideas. The show finishes up on Sunday all held at the Geelong Showgrounds. To find out more visit the website
Extravaganza Geelong25. Indulge In Quality Produce in Geelong
It’s all about good produce this weekend and the Australian International Tea Expo (held at the Pier in Geelong) and Extravaganza Geelong (held across the road at Deakin Waterfront) are offering plenty on that front. The Tea Expo will run the whole weekend with various workshops, classes and tastings also on offer where Extravaganza will showcase local produce on the Saturday only.
