Because regular karting just doesn't cut it...
Level up from regular karting to Ice Karting this winter and drift your way to victory this summer: Go-karting on ice is officially coming to Melbourne.
Arriving at a secret location in January, a dedicated pop-up ice karting track will allow drivers to slip and slide their way around a pristine track with up to eight other drifters.
Providing an exhilarating kart session, ice karting is the perfect way to have some high-speed competitive fun. You’ll be able to test yourself and practise driving around the ice rink whilst navigating a variety of fun and challenging obstacles. Throwbacks to Sherbet Land on Nintendo 64 anyone?
Presented by experience platform Hidden (the people behind the boozy ice curling rink and Christmas-themed beer run), this will be an experience out of this world, elevated by lots of off rink activities, including winter themed bars dishing out your favourite cocktails and traditional winter games like curling, hockey shooting and ice luges so you’ll be entertained even when you’re not in the kart.

Whether you’re a newbie to karting or not, there will be an expert team will be on hand to give you some tips on how to glide at speed and navigate the course. There will also be plenty of dress-ups available for you to pick and wear on the day so you can race around the track in style.
Although it may be a popular sport in certain Scandinavian countries, as well as been used as an event for Red Bull Motorsports, ice karting hasn’t really been a thing in Australia, making this a pretty unique opportunity for the thrill-seekers out there.
While it’s still a while away, it’s definitely something to look forward to for the summer – plus it’s a pretty nifty gift idea for Christmas if you’re one of those organised humans who does their shopping in September.
To celebrate, we’re giving one lucky reader a double pass to the track come summer!
To enter, simply fill out the form below. The winner will be selected at random and notified by email. They will be able to select their session.
Tickets are available now from just $65pp, so whether you’re a regular go-karting enthusiast or a newbie looking for some fun, it will definitely be worth switching things up and testing your skills on a new surface.
