As the clock explodes on NYE2022, Falls Festival has given us a reason to see out the year in high hopes as it returns with a typically huge lineup for their 2022/2023 comeback, bringing some of the greatest acts from all corners of the globe to Australia.

Arguably the biggest Australian NYE festival, the beloved Falls Festival has come out swinging for New Years with exciting new venues in VIC and WA and a fresher, deeper lineup and electronic experience than ever before.

Returning to North Byron Parklands in NSW, and taking to brand-new locations in cityside at Fremantle Park WA and Pennyroyal Plains VIC, Falls Festival returns with a lineup that includes some of the biggest acts on the planet right now alongside a host of festival favourites and exciting stars of the future across three main stages.

As previously announced, this year, the Lorne event will be relocated to Pennyroyal Plains in Murroon, just a stone’s throw from Birregurra which is exciting news for us regional Victorians.

The key takeaways

  • Falls Festival returns to Byron Bay and two new locations at Fremantle Park WA and Pennyroyal Plains VIC
  • Falls drop epic bill packed with international stars and local favourites, headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X and more
  • Tickets are on sale from 9am Thursday 12 May.

Keep up with the latest music tours and festival news here.

Leading the charge is a bunch of international favourites including Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X, Peggy Gou, Chvrches and Jamie xx, while on the homefront Falls will see a tonne of local heavyweights including Spacey Jane, Ocean Alley, G Flip, Amyl and the Sniffers, Genesis Owusu, The Vanns and DMA’s. There’s also a stack of emerging favourites like Telenova, Elsy Wameyo, RONA, and Juno Mamba to get excited about. Check out the full lineup below.

From humble beginnings in Lorne 27 years ago, Falls has grown to become the absolute gold standard of Australian festivals. Further elevating the experience for punters, this year will also feature a wildly colourful program of arts events, performances, pop-ups, food stalls, markets, wellness sessions and even a Fall’s swimming pool,

Thousands flock to Falls to enjoy a New Year’s filled with camping, nature, music and unforgettable memories. Now, it’s time to alert the group chat, gather your crew and get ready for Falls 2022/2023.
