Eureka Hotel is going country tomorrow night

Words by Staff Writer

Dust off the cowboy boots, Eureka Goes Country tomorrow night for an epic hoedown inside the Little Malop Street hotel.

Another special event on Eureka Hotel’s stacked calendar, tomorrow night, Friday 6 September, the Geelong inner-city pub is bringing the bush into the two-story establishment. Titled Eureka Goes Country, the free event will razzle and dazzle bringing the best country life has to offer.

As downstairs will be packed for the Footy Finals with a sea of football guernsey’s and scarfs, Eureka Rooftop will be transformed into a barn. Flannel and denim will be on the agenda as cowboy boots buff the floor and cowboy hats are raised sky-high!

Eureka Goes Country

  • When: Friday 6 September, 8.30pm – late
  • Where: 98 Little Malop Street, Geelong

Keep up with the latest local food and booze news here.

If you remember how to do the iconic Hannah Montana ‘Hoedown Throwdown’ – “Pop it, lock it, polka dot it, Country fivin’, hip hop hip” – you are going to fit right in at Eureka Goes Country. TJR and The Longhorns will have you up and boot scooting the night away. With an inhouse DJ taking to the decks for the rest of the night, you can expect some Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, some Kenny Rogers and perhaps a treat for the millennial floor-stompers with Steps ‘5, 6, 7, 8’.

As with all Eureka events, drink and food specials will be flowing out the door keeping your hunger at bay and your hydration levels up! You’re going to need it considering all of the side-stepping you will be doing.

It would be remiss not to mention the piece de resistance of the night, no less than a freaking mechanical bull! Take on the bucking beast in a test of balance and agility. Will you last for 8 seconds or go flying into the crowd? If you’re brave enough, the bull is ready!

Yeehaw! It’s all going down tomorrow night at Eureka Hotel! Find out more here
