The first lineup announcement for Party in the Paddock's 2025 return is ruled by powerful songwriting spirits.
Tasmania’s biggest music and culture festival, Party in the Paddock has dropped their biggest lineup to date, bringing in 2025 with big guns. Taking place at Quercus Park on tilapangka/Liffey River, in Lutruwita/Tasmania, on Palawa/Tasmanian Aboriginal country – from February 6 to 9 2025, the upcoming festival promises to be an unmissable weekend of music, fun, and memories.
It all starts with giant headline acts of Empire of the Sun in their massive comeback, and Norwegian gem Aurora who are both bound to transport audiences to another world through their ethereal catalogues. The first Party in the Paddock lineup announcement also offers a third headline act slot to a secret headliner who has already had some teasing out. Previous years have seen The Veronica’s reveal themselves as they walked out onto the stage, and Vengaboys teamed up with DMA’s for an epic set!

Joining the team is the explosive energy of Amyl & The Sniffers, whose raw, high-octane punk-rock performances have earned them a reputation as one of Australia’s most electrifying live acts. Fronted by the fierce and unstoppable Amy Taylor, the band will bring a no-holds-barred attitude to the stage, blending raucous riffs and unrelenting energy to ignite the crowd. Their set promises to be a cathartic release, full of head-banging, moshing, and an unapologetic celebration of punk rock at its finest, ensuring this will be a festival to remember.
The lineup also features a blend of pop and indie gems, with Role Model, the USA’s rising pop sensation known for his honest, heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies, and Angie McMahon, Australia’s indie rock darling, whose soulful voice and introspective songwriting will captivate listeners. Fellow American Still Woozy, with his dreamy, genre-blending style, will bring smooth, laid-back vibes. At the same time, Thelma Plum, one of Australia’s most beloved singer-songwriters, will offer up her rich blend of indie-folk and pop with songs that delve into love, identity, and resilience.
King Stingray, the Yolŋu surf-rock band whose fusion of traditional Indigenous music and contemporary rock will offer their distinguished raw and powerful sound. Slowly Slowly will deliver their brand of heartfelt punk, and rapper Allday will bring his genre-defying mix of hip-hop, pop, and indie influences to the stage.
The festival’s diverse lineup doesn’t stop there. With the USA’s Medium Build indie-country-pop-heart-on-sleeve and KiNG MALA’s spill-her-guts-alt-pop, Canberra’s punk rockers Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, and Newcastle’s electropop Boo Seeka continue this eclectic mix of local and international talent, offering something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s Party In The Paddock.
As always, Party In The Paddock isn’t just about the music. The festival offers an immersive experience with art installations, comedy, artist interviews + live podcasts, drag performances, cabaret, mechanical bull ride competitions, skate ramp, meditation & yoga sessions, pop-up markets with fresh Tassie produce and much more! With the beloved Vibestown Arena, The Bigtop Dance Tent, Silvertongue Stage, The Bullpen and Party in the Paddock’s newest stage Little Island Rising – Party in the Paddock has all six stages in full swing.
