Held on Sunday, 26 November at Rod Laver Arena, Mushroom 50 Live will be an event like no other, featuring fifty songs to celebrate fifty years of incredible Australian music.

In a thrilling update just twelve days before the monumental Mushroom 50 Live concert, Mushroom Group announces additional star-studded acts and a nationwide broadcast on Channel 7 and 7plus, setting the stage for a colossal evening of music on Sunday, 26 November at Rod Laver Arena.

To mark fifty incredible years of Australian music, Mushroom 50 Live promises an unparalleled experience with a repertoire of fifty songs. The latest additions to the lineup include international giants alt-J, Ed Sheeran, and Garbage, presenting exclusive recorded performances both on the broadcast and at the live event.

Australian indie-rock sensations Youth Group, joined by Budjerah, Mia Wray, and global phenomenon Sam Smith, will electrify audiences with a recorded performance of the iconic hit ‘Forever Young.’

In a significant announcement, legendary Australian band Goanna, featuring four original members, has joined the stellar Mushroom 50 Live lineup. Renowned for shaping Australia’s musical identity, Goanna’s presence adds historical resonance to the celebration. The lineup is further enriched by the inclusion of three emerging Mushroom artists – WILSN, Lotte Gallagher, and Logan.

Mushroom Group Chief Executive, Matt Gudinski, expressed excitement about the collaboration with the Seven Network, saying, “Mushroom 50 Live has been years in the making and our team has pulled together something truly special, that we’re all proud of and we’re thrilled to partner with the Seven Network to bring this once-in-a-lifetime concert to living rooms right across the country. Mushroom 50 Live spans five decades of iconic Australian music, there’s something for everyone and while we’ve announced a lot, we’re holding a few big surprises close to our chest, with all to be revealed on the night.”

With today’s announcement, the total number of artists involved in Mushroom 50 Live reaches thirty-four, leaving room for more surprises and celebrity hosts to be unveiled on the night.
