The annual Deans Marsh Festival is a celebration of the rich and diverse hinterland community of artists, craftspeople, local producers and musicians.
Not a great deal was available at the time of writing, but in 2016 the theme is ‘Growing Our Community’. For this, the festival is encouraging people to plant some seeds in a disposable or biodegradable pot (an egg carton, for example), raise the seedlings and bring them along to the festival to help create a community garden.
If interested, please have them at the festival by 11a.m. The Deans Marsh Festival takes place on March 27 (Easter Sunday) at Deans Marsh Reserve, 10a.m. until 5p.m.
