Former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns divided his long-time fans and definitely found a new fan-base with last year’s solo album, Talk.
The album was a noted departure from the grunge and art rock that was so often associated with Johns, into a world of synthesizers and delicate, textured soundscapes. Johns has recently re-asserted his new direction on new single ‘Open Fire’ recorded with Perth Electronic duo, Slumberjack. The single is completely electronic and potentially foreshadows future works from the grunge-turned-RnB artist.
