Sunday afternoons are never easy. Maybe you’ve spent the morning out and about, or you’re nursing a hangover from a big Saturday night, and as the time goes on, it looms on you that soon it will be the dreaded return to work with a full week ahead.
With all this going on, it seems there is no better cure than a Sunday Session to pep you up for the week ahead, and get your summer off to a cracking start.
Thanks to the great people at Captain (and good old uncle Dan for easing those restrictions), Sunday Sessions are back on at the lovable small bar with a big reputation.
Held at the outdoor space that is Captain, your Sunday afternoon will be met with an urban oasis of lush garden and natural wood, with drinks served out of a retro caravan and a slew of local live music – and best of all, entry is free.
Kicking off this Sunday, November 29, and running every Sunday until Christmas, each event will have two sessions – one from 3pm to 6:30pm, and the other at 7pm to 10:30pm.
As for the local DJs and musicians that will fill the air, we’ll be seeing the likes of Bayley Nelis, Brad Mayes, Cody Ellifson, Eddie Example, Harvey Pope, House Cat, Jared Drever, Kepler B, Liquid Assets, Luke Hovey, Max Martini, Ryheem, and Togar, among many others.
So go on, round up a crew, grab a tinny from the bar and pull up a milk crate, and embrace the beauty that is a solid Captain’s Sunday session.
