Like a high school reunion for people you actually like, Chelsea Drugstore came together once again in 2007. The transient nature of youth pulled the band apart; maturity brought founding members Luke Godwin and Jackson Turner back together.
The hiatus may have been long, but songwriting came easily as the pair began writing songs for what would become their debut album, What Comes After the Dawn. A second album, You Are Golden, was released in 2014. Founder of Rhythms Magazine, Brian Wise, would include a track from the band’s second release on a compilation of Australian artists for attendees at the 2014 Americana Music Conference.
