Born on the backstreets of Shanghai, this is the spicy new spirit you need to try

Infused with notes of Sichuan Pepper, Buddha's Hand, Lotus Flower, and Chinese Mint, this is unlike any other gin you've tried before.

Just in time for the depths of winter, Peddlers Gin Co. has announced the arrival of its warming boutique spirit to thirsty folk down under, and if you feel you live on the more adventurous side of life, this is the new bev for you.

The first craft gin to emerge from China, Shanghai specifically, you can’t help but taste the hustle-bustle of the world’s largest trading port from inside this striking emerald apothecary-esque bottle (yes, trinket lovers go crazy, this empty vessel can be reused).

Keep up with the latest food and booze news via our website.

Paying homage to China’s rich culinary history, the spirit is infused with notes of: Sichuan Pepper, Buddha’s Hand, Lotus Flower, and Guangdong Liquorice to name a few. Unlike any other gin you’ve sipped before, this spirit aims to surprise and delight the more experimental drinkers, taking you on a sensory, hypothetical journey across the East.

A welcome addition to your bar cart or home bar, you can also try your hand at a spicier G&T with the tasty new tipple gaining popularity throughout Melbourne CBD. Chin Chin, Hawker Hall, and Kisume all sit on the list, so book a dinner and don’t hold back.

Goodbye Gordans and Tancqueray…we want innovative flavour profiles and cocktails that offer a real kick. Drink away this weekend’s sorrows (responsibly of course), and get shaking and stirring with the below boutique cocktails from Peddlers Gin Co.
