Ballarat Writers Festival invites writers, readers, and lovers of words to gather in the heart of Ballarat. More than words on a page – the Festival is a public event for all ages where emerging and established writers will converse about their work, practice, and expertise. Through author talks with the like of Dennis Altman, Sofie Laguna and Melbourne-based writer, Marija Peričić, along with workshops, performance, and discussion, literature will be used to bring both Ballarat locals and visitors together to hear, share and explore new ideas. October 21 – October 22.
