During Random Acts of Kindness Week (February 13th – 17th) Axil Coffee Roasters, home of the World Barista Champion, are giving away 25,000 free coffee cards to the people of Melbourne.

It’s clearly been a good year for Axil, after one of their baristas picked up the World Barista Champion title. “To help spread much-needed caffeine”, the Melbourne-based coffee house will be handing out 25,000 free coffee cards across the Melbourne CBD from February 13 – 17.

The team from Axil will be appearing at locations around the CBD at random times throughout the week. They want people to keep an eye on their social media for daily clues on where the Axil team will be handing out the free coffee cards.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news across the region here.

Founder Dave Makin said, “We want to give back to the city that has helped us get where we are today, and without the support of our customers and the wider coffee community, we wouldn’t be the Axil we are today. So, we are excited to give back to the community and treat them to a free cup of coffee.”

Axil have partnered with dairy company Riverina Fresh and plant-based coffee cup company I Am Not Paper, to make the activation possible. Receivers of the card can get a coffee on the house at any Axil store or pass it on to a family member, friend or colleague.
