For those not in the know, Americana Music, often dubbed Alt-Country Music, is a genre that gracefully weaves together blues, roots, country, folk, rock, rockabilly, gospel, and soul. It’s a musical odyssey under the expansive umbrella of diverse genres, creating an eclectic and emotionally resonant sonic experience.

Returning for its third year this February, Americana On The Bellarine was initially conceived by Robertson over four years ago with plans for a live event in mid-2020. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted these plans, prompting Robertson to pivot and host a livestream event in July 2020.

This year’s line-up sees the return of fan-favourites, Robertson herself and The Mojo Corner. Also playing on the night will be Matt Joe Gow & The Dead Leaves and Jasmin Adria.

Andrea Robertson

Andrea Robertson has a voice like honey, a knack for making music that gets into your system feeling immediately like an old friend, and a flair for soul-stirring songwriting.

Combine it all with a tasty fusion of blues, roots, folk, alt-country along with a bit of 70’s influenced rock, this award-winning artist knows her craft well, and how to deliver a stellar performance for audiences.

Her 2024 release ‘Seasons’ is being lauded as Andrea’s best body of work to date, and is truly a testament to resilience, creativity and the enduring power of music.

But there is so much more to this artist than just talent. There is an honesty and openness to Andrea’s songwriting which is expressed in the most relatable story-telling way, ranging from delicate slow-burners that hit you right in the core through to rockier numbers that entice you to move.

The Mojo Corner

Together now for more than 10 years, The Mojo Corner are a tight knit unit of great friends and musicians that are continuing to grow and develop their sound. Never sitting still they have a reputation for tight and energetic live shows. The songs written are from a time that is theirs and are straight from the heart. Not tied down to one genre.

They are Rock. They are Roots. They are Blues. They have Soul.

The journey is still a reality and with it, new life breathed into a collective to deliver more. A little rough around the edges, always up for a beer, we are ready for a good time.

Matt Joe Gow & The Dead Leaves

Irresistible. Captivating. Unforgettable.

When Matt Joe Gow sings, everything else stops, such is the power of his voice and his songs. Those songs have won awards, from Music Victoria Country Album of the Year (twice) to a New Zealand Country Music Award, with nominations and chart positions along the way.

Matt’s voice has been heard in festivals in the United Kingdom and the United States; in venues small and large across Australia and New Zealand; on radio and playlists, and supporting artists such as Chris Isaak and Justin Townes Earle. And every time, he wins new fans, drawn to his amazing vocal tone and his way of bringing the listener closer, telling them stories they will carry with them.

Few artists have that combination of indelible songwriting and an extraordinary voice, along with the commitment to create better art each time and bring it to the audience so they have a transformative live experience. Matt Joe Gow is one of those few.

Matt will be joined by his band, The Dead Leaves, for their only band gig in his upcoming tour.

Jasmin Adria

Growing up on the Surf Coast of Australia, Jasmin Adria found her deep connection to music through artists such as Joni Mitchell, Courtney Barnett, Janis Joplin and Angie McMahon.

Focusing on a documentary approach to her song writing. Adria sees her music as memories and nicknacks collected from things that she feels, sees and experiences throughout her life.

In 2019 she released her debut single ‘Fake Friends’. Which led to her being approached by ‘ABC’s Behind The News’ to interview Paul Kelly for Aus Music Month.

Adria’s Eco Anxiety call for help came in 2022 with ‘Brown Skies’. Which vocalised the  widespread feeling of frustration and anger from the lack of environmental action. This lead to Adria featuring in Triple J’ s ‘Class of 2022’, which consists of the top 16 high school artists in Australia.

The Potato Shed is still the place to be to experience this spectacular twilight event. Here, audiences can immerse themselves in the music while lounging on picnic rugs, enjoying nibbles, and sipping drinks from the licensed bar.

Don’t miss out on the Americana On The Bellarine – an enchanting fusion of genres under the Bellarine stars.
