Local photographer Jane Fitzgerald invites you to experience her latest exhibition, Amalfitana, a stunning collection of infrared photography capturing the timeless allure of Italy's Amalfi Coast.
The exhibition, running for three weeks, promises to transport viewers into a dreamlike vision of summer on one of the world’s most iconic coastlines.

Amalfitana reimagines the familiar beaches, umbrellas, and sun-soaked vistas of the Amalfi Coast through the unique medium of infrared photography.
This technique transforms the landscape’s classic beauty, replacing traditional blues and bright summer hues with deep reds, warm earth tones, and nostalgic contrasts.
The result is a series of images that evoke the feeling of vintage postcards and faded memories, offering a fresh perspective on this beloved destination.
Fitzgerald describes her work as an exploration of “light, memory, and place,” emphasising the emotional essence of the Amalfi Coast.
“Infrared photography allows me to reveal a hidden spectrum of light, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that feels both familiar and otherworldly. Through these images, I hope to inspire viewers to see iconic beach scenes in a new and contemplative way.”
