It's a surprise the floor of the Forum is still intact after the brutal offering that Tasmania metalcore giants Alpha Wolf threw down on the Melbourne crowd.

Alongside friends The Devil Wears Prada, Invent Animate and Thrown, Alpha Wolf put on a show to remember for their sold-out Melbourne audience.

In celebration of their latest release, Half Living Things the tour saw Alpha Wolf play another sold-out show at Melbourne’s Chelsea Heights Hotel the evening prior before ripping into a mammoth set of new tracks.

Where: Forum, Melbourne, 154 Flinders Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000

Three quarters of Half Living Things popped up throughout their brutal set, leading in with set opener ‘Haunter’, with ‘Bring Back The Noise’, ‘Double-Edge Demise’, ‘Feign’, ‘Mangekyo’, ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘Sucks 2 Suck’ and ‘Whenever Your Ready’ all celebrating their third album.

But it wasn’t all new items on the agenda for Alpha Wolf, as they toe-dipped into A Quiet Place To Die and Fault for anthems ‘Acid Romance’, ‘Akudama’, ‘Creep’ and ‘Sub-Zero’.

In addition to Alpha Wolf’s blow-up set, the evening saw The Devil Wears Prada whip through their nine-track set of mighty belters including ‘Watchtower’, ‘Sacrifice’, ‘Salt’, ‘Broken’, ‘Chemical’ and of course ‘Ritual’. Invent Animate made their mark showcasing their level of animalistic energy and Thrown kicked off the night with undeniable enthusiasm, getting the crowd roughed up.

On the ground to witness it all was photographer Simon Pickering. Be transported to the stage through his photo gallery above.
