ALICE COOPER
Kicking off the spectacle is none other than the legendary Alice Cooper, a name synonymous with rock theatrics and timeless anthems like “School’s Out,” “No Mr. Nice Guy,” and “Poison.” With over 50 million albums sold worldwide and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2011, Alice Cooper continues to reign supreme with his latest album, “Road,” released in 2023.
BLONDIE
Blondie, a trailblazing force in the music industry, brings their pioneering spirit to Pandemonium. Led by the iconic Debbie Harry, Blondie’s hits include the groundbreaking “Heart of Glass,” the hip-hop-infused “Rapture,” and the unforgettable “One Way Or Another.” With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide, Blondie remains a true global icon even after four decades in the spotlight.
PLACEBO
In the mid-’90s, Placebo emerged as a voice for those alienated by Britpop, offering a unique blend of glam goth, grungey sonics, and pop savvy. With hits like “Nancy Boy” and “Running Up That Hill,” Placebo’s influence extends globally, making them a force to be reckoned with. Their eighth release, “Never Let Me Go” (2022), continues to showcase their dark alt-rock goth goodness and electronic undertones.
DEEP PURPLE
With over 100 million albums sold and a legacy spanning five decades, Deep Purple is undeniably ‘rock royalty.’ The band’s 20th studio album, “inFinite” (2017), broke chart records, reaffirming their status as one of the most influential bands ever. From “Smoke On The Water” to “Highway Star,” Deep Purple’s classics will echo through Pandemonium’s stages.
WHEATUS
Wheatus’s debut single, “Teenage Dirtbag” (2000), refuses to fade away, recently re-entering the UK Top 40 charts in 2023. The band, known for their dirty rock ‘n’ roll, has embraced a new wave of fans through TikTok trends and remixes. With a career spanning six studio albums, Wheatus continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS
The Psychedelic Furs, pioneers of alternative rock, have left an indelible mark with hits like “Love My Way” and “Pretty In Pink.” After a brief hiatus, the band returned in 2020 with “Made Of Rain,” showcasing their enduring vibrancy after four decades.
DEAD KENNEDYS
Celebrating 40 years of punk rock chaos, Dead Kennedys remain an over-the-top live act that guarantees an unforgettable experience. Their early hits, including “Holiday In Cambodia” and “Too Drunk To Fuck,” paved the way for American punk, influencing bands like the Offspring and Green Day.
GANG OF FOUR
Gang of Four’s radical influence on rock music over the last 40 years is undeniable. From Red Hot Chili Peppers to Franz Ferdinand, their impact resonates across genres. The band’s compilation album, “The Problem Of Leisure,” pays homage to their legacy with covers by artists like Idles and Tom Morello.
PALAYE ROYALE
Blending brit-pop, glam rock, and art-punk, Palaye Royale brings unparalleled swagger to Pandemonium. With a legion of cult-like fans and their fourth studio album, “Fever Dream” (2022), the trio continues to push boundaries in the rock scene.
WOLFMOTHER, COSMIC PSYCHOS, GYROSCOPE
Rounding off the stellar lineup are electrifying acts like Wolfmother, known for their primal psychedelia, Cosmic Psychos with their beer-fueled punk rock, and Perth’s Gyroscope, a constant presence on the Australian music scene since 1997.
But Pandemonium is more than just a music festival – it’s a force for good. Proudly partnering with essential charities, the festival supports our veterans and youth. With ANZAC Day falling on the Sydney event, Legacy and Wounded Heroes will be on site, while the Gold Coast event will feature the dedicated team from Top Blokes, tirelessly working to prevent youth suicide.
